Minnesota’s Seventh Judicial District stretches across central Minnesota from the North Dakota border to Mille Lacs County. The maps below show its statewide location and the ten counties it serves.
The Seventh Judicial District is one of Minnesota’s ten judicial districts. District boundaries organize trial-court administration; cases are heard by the district court serving the county where the matter is filed.
The district includes Becker, Benton, Clay, Douglas, Mille Lacs, Morrison, Otter Tail, Stearns, Todd, and Wadena counties.
Justice-Denied’s reporting has focused particularly on proceedings in Otter Tail County, while recognizing that the Seventh Judicial District spans a much broader region and court system.
